Surface Mount TSOP48 socket is designed to be soldered directly on TSOP48 PCB foot print. With the socket, engineers no longer have to solder or desolder the TSOP48 chips during the development phase.

 2. Replace the IC with TSOP48 Socket

 3. Open the TSOP48 Socket

4. Insert IC into TSOP48 Socket

5. Done
