I purchased this product for our field technician to replace a different unit.
In shop we tested the product with several motherboards including an Intel DX58SO motherboard which has an SST 25VF016B and had no issues detecting, reading or writing our custom BIOS.
Our technician used it in the feild for the last 4 days and now the SF100 programmer has developed issues detecting the SST 25VF016B and is now unable to detect or read this device with any kind of reliability, due to detect/read errors I have instructed our technician to refrain from updating the BIOS pending resolution of the issue.
It doesn't seem to have issues detecting the 25LF040A or the 25VF512(A).

If you can detect the 25LF040A or 25VF512, the SF100 will work well.
Does any isolation circuit on your application?
