Is it possible to insert a serial number with auto-increment at a specific location with a specific formatting (HEX/DEC = length) during programming ?
Kind regards,

Technically it is possible to insert a serial number with auto-increment at a specific location. This feature seems to be more related to a Gang programmer such as Dediprog Race100. Are you planning to use SF100 in production? please contact chong.tsao@dediprog.com for detail discussions.

Hi,
I'm using the SF100 to burn serial flash in our production line. I'm using the command line application in order to burn the flash.
is there any API so i can use my own code in order to burn and check if the burn process has passed sucessfuly? currently i need to create a log file and check the file content which is not so usefull since the burning time changes and i can't maximize my timing this way, i need to open a wait window for long period.
thanks.

I have the Dediprog Software 3.0.66 3359... Everything is installed right and I can detect the memory chip but when I select FILE the only option i have is to use Raw Binary.. The Intel Hex, Motorola 519, and ROM file are greyed out. I want to select the ROM file. Why is it greyed out and how do i fix it? Need to know ASAP!!!

I'm new to the programming scene. I am thinking about purchasing the dediprog sf100 programmer. I am also thinking of purchasing the split cable. My question is will this split cable read the mx25L2005? I have viewed the mx25L2005 pin diagram at this link
http://www.semiconductorstore.com/pdf/Macronix/Serial2.pdf (page 2)
It does not match the pin diagram from the split cable. How do i go about reading this chip with the split cable? Or if you may, give me instructions on what pin from the split cable goes on the chip?
Thanks, Joseph

Hello Joseph,
you just need to connect Vcc, GND, CS, CLK, MISO, and MOSI to the corresponding pins of the serial flash.
http://www.dediprog.com/product.php?UID=54
hold pin need to be pulled high on your application. IO3 can be used in case you need yo use it to reset your application in order to switch the SPI bus to HZ state. you can further check the SF100 spec in order to understand more details about the IO behaviors.

I am trying to use a SF100 to program a AT45DB642D and it seems to be filling only half of the 1056 byte buffer before writing a page to memory. The software is 4.2.72.3986 and the FW is 2.0.8

I have an issue with DediPro newest and older version sometime it will see the chipset other times it will not. If it does see it, it will erase and program but will not verify. I have tried this with 4 different system bioses and 3 different laptops with the program installed. several groups here having same issue need a fix. newest software does make any difference.

Hi,
We are running multiple SF-100 programmers iin our lab with very different Firmware versions, ranging from 2.0.8 to 3.0.5.
Is it possible to receive FW update file to update all of ours programmers to latest version?
Thanks in advance

Hello Piotr,
there are different SF100 hardware versions and the firmware for them are not exchangable. the different firmware version do not really affect its functionalities and usually only the software does. please send email to support@dediprog.com if you really want to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. in the end, you will still have 2.0.9(our latest 2.x.x firmware) and 3.0.8(our latest firmware for 3.x.x).

Hi,
I was previously using SF4.5.80.4066 for the SF100, this installation became corrupted on the system I was using, so I am now trying to load the new software SF5.3.0.2. I am getting an error during install:
"A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:....SF5.3.0.2SF4.5.80.4066.msi"
I no longer have the SF4.5.80.4066 file and can not find it on the website. It may solve my problem if I can get this file, is it available?
Thanks,
Sarah

Like Sarah above, I want to update to the latest software, but the installation package requires the previous version be uninstalled first, including the original install package, which is no longer available. In my case the version needed to be removed is 4.2.72.3988.
How can we install your software when previous version install packages are not available?
David
2009-09-02 02:07:42
Apparently, either you cannot update to Dediprog’s latest software, unless you have the previous versions install package, or no one is home at Dediprog.
The only solution appears to be re-install your operating system and then install the latest version of Dediprog software. Nice.

I have looked at the Dediprog SF Software User Manual and it shows an EDIT button in the GUI.When I bring up the application, the Edit button is missing and is replaced by load.prj and save.prj buttons. We need to be able to see the contents of the Flash. We are currently programming a MX25L3205DM2I-12G MACRONIX (8-SOP) The file loads and programs and verifies but we need to be able to dump it out to a buffer to view it.We would prefer to use the EDIT feature. The DOS dpcmd –r file.bin does not work it just creates a file.bin with size 0. Please help we are urgent to get this working by the end of the week. When I go to your software update link it doesn’t tell me if the updates are for this GUI or some other product you carry.

Need your help.
Concerning failure in DedProg EM100 purchased from SiliconKit, we have received customer claim that the EM100 should be repaired by warranty services.
1. Mfg s/n of failed EM100: DP007497.
2. Error symptom: verify fail with different checksum as attached.
My question:
Q1. Can we be applied Warranty Service for repair?
Q2. Expected repair cost in case of out of Warranty.
Our customer will rasise RMA after your answer.

Hello Sir,
Dediprog Support said "MucProg does not support command line yet. We are planning to support it by the end of June. In the mean time, we will also update the user manual." before, and it is Aug 03,2010 now, does the MCUProg support command line now? I would like api(application program interface) rather than command line, because it is very inconvenient to check the contents of text file compareing with checking function return code.

Hi,
I have been using EM100 for a while and happy with it. Recently I am testing EM100-Pro and found some issues. Anyway, here is my system setup:
Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
Device driver: 6.0.6000.16386 (12/3/2009)
DediProg application version: 4.1.10
Question #1: The tool asks me to update the firmware. I did so and it appears to be doing something (progress bar at the bottom indicates that it is going...). But after 30 minutes it is still in progress. Here is the message:
MCU Version: 2.6
FPGA: 0.32
HW Version: 0
An newer firmware version is available
Question #2: This EM100Pro works fine for the first 10 minutes or so then the entire system becomes sluggish. Close the GUI app and re-open it but it remains busy (not responsive) for a long time (10 minutes or more). and sais device not ready. At this point the tool is not usable.
